A kinda love

She wants to hear about love,
But wants not to show it
She knows if she doesn't
Then she wont likely blow it

He wants to talk about love
But he doesn't know it
Yet he wants to ease her heart
As he can't control it

She wants to know that she's safe
And that her future is clear.
And her eyes are for good
But they are sighted, near

He wants to show her the way
And to ease every fear
And bring her each joy
And stave off each tear.

She wants the kind of future
That you can hold in hands
That all comes together
Without thought out plans

He wants to give her the world
And he'll do what he can
But he is more focused on giving
Than being her man.

This may be the model
Of love in this age
With two distant lovers
Each on their own page

Let's pray that it plays out
Different on life's stage
As the show plays on
Onto the next page.

And it may be resolved
If ever change they can,
If She be his woman
And He be her man.

But this requires they love
Something outside of self
And by loves fire refined
And become something else.

He must follow her heart
And find its love meet
And never depart
From kissing her feet

She must follow his word
As his word is true
And it's echo reaching
Beyond what she knew

But this is a new love
Not perfected in strength
With an unknown height,
With depth and length.

And this new love
Is far beyond measure
A gift to attain
More valuable than treasure.
