Wise men say

From the mouth of the Wise to the ears of the fool,
From the ends of the mind and the depths of it too.
From the sight of my eyes from the old and the new,
From the face of the kind, from others and you

With the beat of my heart, comes these thoughts of mine
At the sounding of words, that echoed in time
That whenever I start, with the beginning behind
That's when thought's herds, stomp and trample the line.

And I think of the message simple and true,
The wise's words of patience, wrote for the fool,
Avoid haste through the passage, you must not pursue,
But I can't help but whence, falling in love with you.

As many things in nature, it is my nature to
Be drawn naturally, in a way near to you
As a river brings life to all it runs through
My heart seems to swell when I come near you

As I run down the mountain, from its peaks to the shores
I run as one runs to what he adores
Like a river that is endless and flows evermore
A love unbound, like ones written of in lore

Like a river so powerful, one's love must be
And me planted in it, as strong as a tree
Like this river that flows, darling, down to the sea
Somethings like this, are just meant to be

We'll go this together, with your hand in mine
As the river subsides, and rises in time
And a gentle breeze runs quickly to soothe your mind
And assure you that in your future all will be fine

So I give you my hand and my whole life too
And I promise you this, and my word is true
Despite words of patience, wrote for the fool,
I can't help but whence, falling in love with you.
